In fourth grade I read a book about Helen Keller, and I loved the story.  I also loved the American Sign Language alphabet that was on the back. I would actually raise my hand in class and sign the answer I was going to say with my hand in the air!

In college I became really interested in it again, and I bought a few books to help me learn more, but I didn't get to far.  Finally in 2005, I took two courses of like "sign language for teachers," and I really enjoyed it.  I would love to pursue a program to become a certified  interperter, but right now I stuck doing it as a hobby and checking it on the Internet!
